I regularly dog-sit for a family who comfortably rely on me to care for their elderly Staffordshire Bull Terriers whilst they are away, and am also regularly trusted with the care of a very energetic one-year-old Great Dane. Furthermore, my own Golden Retriever often accompanies myself on runs, and I have enjoyed the responsibility of training him since he was a puppy.
I have a range of experience with different animals and have just spent a month lambing at a local farm. My job roles ranged from feeding the orphan lambs, either by bottle or tube, to assisting in problematic births. I was also taught how to tail dock and castrate the lambs out in the fields and also how to perform injections on lambs and ewes, a task that I was trusted with throughout the duration of my time at the farm. Managing over one thousand pregnant ewes presented me with complicated situations such as relieving dystocia, dealing with new life, and sometimes death, but I was never phased about messy or unpleasant tasks.
In September I'm hoping to attend Sparsholt College to train to be a Veterinary Nurse but am looking for animal-related work for until then.
I have a car and am I'm willing to travel wherever needed.
