Storeroom2010 is a registered furniture re-use charity - No 1142010
Every year Storeroom2010 helps the local island community to save around 150,000kgs of furniture and household items from landfill by the promotion of furniture re-use. Using furniture donated by island residents, we are able to offer a good variety of items, at competitive prices, to those who are less fortunate, enabling all to make their living space into a home. By collecting donations of household items, we are diverting possible treasures from the landfill site, keeping our environment healthy and islanders comfortable.
In addition to our recycling initiatives and general provision of our service, Storeroom2010 also provides volunteer opportunities, community placements and work experience to those seeking a route to employment; enabling the building of confidence and providing support with seeking paid employment. We empower individuals from many backgrounds to find the confidence to work within a team, encouraging self-development and aiming to increase their self-esteem.
Thanks to grant funding from various sources both on and off the Isle of Wight, Storeroom Education also offers FREE or low cost trades based training to unemployed local people. We are an accredited NOCN Centre number 30000877. New professional PAY courses available now! For further information please call Storeroom Education on 209734.
